Art and Research Residency Studio XX Montreal

Diversity Art Forum is supporting Ima Pico's residency video project at Studio XX Montreal in May-June 2011. Studio XX Montreal is a bilingual digital art centre for technological exploration, creation and critique. The centre is committed to establishing women's access to technology and has a strong focus on free and open source software.

Ima Pico will be creating a new body of work and will be working with the Mexican curator Erandy Vergara to make a selection of Canadian and Mexican video artists that will be shown in Manchester's Mad Lab (Manchester Digital Laboratory). Erandy Vergara is a independent curator specialising in curating media and was awarded the Abner Kingman Fellowship in 2008.
