Dear Pauline, Thank you for participating as a juror in the NYC Open Call. We received 450 eligible proposals from 90 countries, which were voted on by an international panel of over 400 jurors from many disciplines. In addition to many individuals, 23 university classes and 3 specialized high school classes participated as class activity. Jurors were asked to read at least 50 anonymous submissions. Over 16,000 votes were cast to determine the winning four proposals that will become apexart Exhibitions in the 2021-2022 season in NYC. Jurors. We are pleased to announce that our director Pauline de Souza is one of the Tate Liaison Representative for the Tate British Art Network Emerging Curators Group. She is also involved in making change to funding, vis the Arts Council Visual Arts and Philanthropy, by working with The Beacon Collective and the Black Funding Network.

In 2018 the arebyte Gallery asked Pauline de Souza if she would broker Concertina going to the University of East London. After many discussions between the arebyte Gallery and University of East London, Diversity Art Forum along with Balon-Stuart Eveans and John Eveans, Concertina has been reconstructed in to a different format at the University of East London to comply with health and safety issues plus all the other issues universities have to deal with when taking in a piece of functional artwork. Concertina has been reconstructed in the architectural atrium and is used by staff, students and external organisation plus individuals. Published by New Zealand-based Little Island Press in October 2018, Samoan Queer Lives is a collection of 14 personal stories from one of the world's unique indigenous queer cultures. The first of its kind, the book features pieces by fa'afafine, transgender and queer Samoans based in Sāmoa, Amerika Sāmoa, Australia, Aotearoa NZ, Hawai`i and USA. It is co-edited by New York-based artist and poet Dan Taulapapa McMullin and Samoan-New Zealand interdisciplinary artist Yuki Kihara. On International Women's Day, Contemporary Collective brings together artists, industry insiders and invited guests to Bankside Hotel join us for a round table discussion with artists and industry insiders exploring their practice, roles and experiences in and of the art world. The event is organised by Elinor Olisa and Isobel Beauchamp founding members of the Association of Women Art Dealers and Directors Of DegreeArt.com. We are pleased to announce that our director continues her work in the Westminster Forums. Recently in a discussion in May 2018 she discussed the problem of discrimination of women by women at an internal panel. This has lead her to having discussions with Dawn Butler MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Women and Equalities and Sue Coe, Head of Employment, Equality and Human Rights Commission. The discussions are focusing on informing women that they can be accused of discrimination under the Equality Act 2010. It is important for women to understand they can be prosecuted for discrimination under this act. It is equally important for women not to tolerate discrimination by any gender and should be encouraged to…
